The Watchtower

Planetary coherence monitor. Twenty live data streams ingested daily, normalised against VTC-derived coherence metrics, composited into a single φ-graded score for Earth. The page is the instrument. The visitor is the observer.

v1.3.0 — LIVE DATA

Twenty channel fetchers operational. Daily cron at 06:00 UTC fetches NOAA SWPC + USGS + real independent feeds, computes the composite, writes public/data/watchtower/latest.json. Schumann is real image-derived 7.83 Hz power (Tomsk sonogram); Cosmic Rays is the real NMDB Oulu neutron monitor; Lightning is the real GOES GLM flash rate (regional, Americas). Newly-added channels self-calibrate their baseline over the first days (estimated) before reading live. Any feed that goes dark reports honestly as unavailable. Planetary coherence over time. Every past day is recomputed under the current engine from its stored raw values, so days are comparable across engine versions — only the channels genuinely measured that day are counted. Engine-version changes are marked on the axis.

The Mathematics

Cₐ(t) = Σ wᵢ · xᵢ(t)

Composite planetary coherence: φ-weighted mean over the independent active channels. Weights are φ-graded by VTC tier — Tier 0 carries w = φ⁰ / Z, Tier 1 carries w = φ⁻¹ / Z, etc., normalised so Σw = 1. A channel that is a deterministic function of others — dynamic pressure, computed from solar-wind speed × plasma density — carries no independent information, so it is shown for transparency but excluded from the sum. (No channel is currently a derived proxy; the exclusion mechanism remains for future fallbacks.)

xᵢ ∈ [0, 1] · per-channel coherence map

Each channel's raw value normalised against its own coherence map (spec §3 Table 2): stable Schumann power = coherent; low Kp = coherent; near-baseline cosmic ray rate = coherent; new moon = coherent; shallow Dst = coherent; low particle flux = coherent.

Cₐ_scaled = Cₐ × φ · threshold at 1.000

Display scale: composite multiplied by φ ≈ 1.618 so the φ⁻¹ raw threshold (0.618) lands at exactly 1.000 on the dial. Above 1.000 = coherent. Below = sub-coherent. The deep-coherent band starts at √φ ≈ 1.272, the geometric mean between threshold (1.000) and ceiling (φ).

Honest Disclaimer

This is an instrument, not a prophecy. The composite score reflects a specific framework (VTC) applied to specific public data. Anyone is free to disagree with the framework; the framework's response is to point at its May 2027 Gulf-coast falsification test (see Calc 02 §4). When that test resolves, the framework will either gain credibility or require revision. The Watchtower's job is to render the data honestly during the window.

Source-level precision rule. Every number on this page is traceable to either (a) a public data source URL, (b) a published VTC equation, or (c) a clearly labelled interpretive or estimated tag. Nothing without provenance. The Python reference engine and parity test are in the public repo.
